dredd-miniseries-slice

A few weeks ago we told you that producer Adi Shankar was working on a miniseries to continue the story of Dredd that he started in the amazing 2012 film starring Karl Urban. Yesterday came the surprising news that this series wouldn't be live action like Shankar's other offshoots The Punisher: Dirty Laundry and Venom: Truth in Journalism, but an animated miniseries called Judge Dredd Superfiend.

And it actually looks really good.  It's definitely broader in a visual sense than the 2012 film (though that film was so satirical in tone that this aesthetic embellishment seems organic).  It contains elements of the Dark Judges story arc and was written and directed by The Junquera Brothers.  Look for the full trailer on October 23rd and you don't even have long to wait for the miniseries itself, which debuts next week on October 27th.  Hit the jump for the Judge Dredd Superfiend teaser trailer.
