The first trailer for the 3D re-release of Steven Spielberg‘s 1993 classic Jurassic Park has been released.  The trailer makes great, playful use of John Williams‘ iconic score and drums up a major dose of nostalgia.  Whether 3D is your thing or not, it’s gonna be incredibly hard to pass up seeing Jurassic Park on the big screen again once this thing returns to theaters.  Even though it’s been 20 years, the effects actually look like they hold up pretty well (thank you, Stan Winston), and Jeff Goldblum‘s dry delivery remains spot-on.  Hold on to your butts.

Hit the jump to watch the trailer.  The film stars Sam NeillRichard AttenboroughLaura DernJoseph MazzelloAriana RichardsWayne Knight, and Samuel L. Jackson.  Jurassic Park 3D hits theaters on April 5th, 2013.

  1. It’s incomprehensible to me that Jeff Goldblum didn’t become a superstar, I just don’t get it, the guy is super likeable and dynamic and he had a badass vibe to him when playing Malcolm in The Lost World about the time when he rocked sideburns, what a waste, I think if handled properly, he could’ve been along Hugo Weaving, the second cool badass rocking dude to survive the 90′s into the 2000′s,he’s very likeable as the good guy, Independence Day’s quality will be greatly diminished if he hadn’t teamed up with Smith, they should have a reunion, but man he would’ve rocked as a proper villain.

I only went this long because I really appreciate his work, he’s one of my forever fav actors.
Man, so many 2000′s movies really suffered without him injecting some cool presence and mannerisms.

  2. One of the few movies I’ll hold in high regard forever. This practically built one of the major foundations of my childhood: my affection for dinosaurs. The plot, the characters, not to mention that glorious blend of ILM cgi and Stan Winston puppet wizardry… the movie still holds today. Those special effects (especially when the T-Rex breaks out) never and I mean NEVER GETS OLD!:D
