We may have our first castmember for the upcoming fourth film in the Jurassic Park franchise. The Wrap reports that Bryce Dallas Howard is in early talks to star in director Colin Trevorrow’s new film Jurassic World. Howard is apparently negotiating to tackle one of the lead roles in the film, and it will definitely be nice to see a female-led tentpole for a change. Back when Universal decided to push the release date of Jurassic World from 2014 to 2015, Howard and David Oyelowo (The Butler) had reportedly met with producers for the lead roles in the pic, so one wonders if news of Oyelowo entering official negotiations isn’t far off.
Plot details for Jurassic World are practically non-existent at this point, but we do know that the film will possibly be heading back to Isla Nublar. Howard has been working more as a director as of late with a series of short films, as her last two screen credits as an actress are the 2011 films 50/50 and The Help. Jurassic World will open in theaters on June 12, 2015.
