- Judy Greer, Katie McGrath, and Lauren Lapkus have joined Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World, which stars Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Pratt.
- Lea Michele and Rohan Chand are negotiating to lead DreamWorks Animation’s Bollywood musical, Bollywood Superstar Monkey.
- John Leguizamo, Lynn Collins, and Jim Belushi sign on for Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego’s The Man on Carrion Road.

First up from Heat Vision is news that Greer, McGrath and Lapkus have boarded Jurassic World. Character details for the female trio were not revealed, but we know that Howard stars as a corporate scientist working at the dino park, while Pratt “is a dino wrangler with a cowboy attitude.” Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins, Jake Johnson, Ifran Khan, Vincent D’Onofrio and B.D. Wong also star. Jurassic World opens June 12, 2015.
The Wrap reports that Michele and Chand are nearing deals to voice two lead characters in the musical, Bollywood Superstar Monkey. Kevin Lima has been attached to direct since 2011. The script by Gurinder Chadha and Paul Berges is loosely based on the “Ramayana,” an epic Indian tale about a man whose wife is kidnapped by a demon king. The adaptation centers on monkeys Raj and his younger brother Deepu (Chand). “When Raj accidentally releases the ten-headed demon king Ravana from his enchanted sleep, the demon kidnaps Bollywood superstar Chandani. The unlikely sibling heroes then team up with Chandani’s pet monkey Pinki (Michele) and embark on a thrilling journey to rescue Chandani, save their city and defeat Ravana.”

JOHN LEGUIZAMO, LYNN COLLINS AND JIM BELUSHI SIGN ON TO ATLAS INDEPENDENT’S THE MAN ON CARRION ROAD
LOS ANGELES, CA, APRIL 3, 2014 – Atlas Independent, the affiliate company of Charles Roven’s Atlas Entertainment, announced today that John Leguizamo (Ride Along, Summer of Sam, Romeo + Juliet), Lynn Collins (John Carter, X-Men Origins: Wolverine) and Jim Belushi (According to Jim) – will star opposite Patrick Wilson and Ian McShane in The Man On Carrion Road. Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego (Open Grave, Apollo 18) will direct the film based on Nils Lyew’s script. William Green, Aaron Ginsburg and Andy Horwitz of Atlas Independent will produce. MICA Entertainment is financing, with Relativity International selling the picture overseas. The film will start production on April 14th, 2014. This will be the fifth film that Atlas Independent has produced since its inception in 2012.
Known for his one-man shows and ability to play a range of ethnic groups, Leguizamo was recently seen performing his newest one-man show on the HBO special “John Leguizamo’s Ghetto Klown.” Upcoming, Leguizamo will write, produce and star in a half-hour comedy project for AMC. Leguizamo will also star alongside Uma Thurman, Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart in the upcoming action-comedy film American Ultra, directed by Nima Nourizadeh.
Collins was most recently seen in the adventure, fantasy film John Carter alongside Taylor Kitsch, William Dafoe and Thomas Hayden Church. She also appeared in the action film X-Men Origins: Wolverine opposite Hugh Jackman, and The Merchant of Venice opposite Al Pacino. Collins recently wrapped production on the action, thriller Lost in The Sun opposite Josh Duhamel.
Belushi is best known for his role on the long-running sitcom According to Jim. He is currently in post production on three new projects including North Of Hell with Patrick Wilson and Katherine Heigl, Undrafted, with Tyler Hoechlin and Chace Crawford and A Change Of Heart directed by Kenny Ortega.
The Man On Carrion Road is the visceral story of a botched Mexican cartel deal in the back roads of a border town. The town’s new sheriff (played by Patrick Wilson) must team up with the retired lawman (played by Ian McShane) he replaced to investigate the source of the deal in order to stop a mysterious cartel butcher (played by John Leguizamo) and his systematic brutalization of the town’s residents. A gritty and modern thriller, The Man On Carrion Road collides head on with the pathos and hard realities that inhabit life along the border; it’s a story that explores the ambitions, difficulties and consequences that turn men into monsters and monsters into reality.
