Universal has released a new Jurassic World image on the film's official Twitter page, and it has awful advice on surviving dinosaur encounters. The image features dinosaur researcher Owen (Chris Pratt) fleeing from some unknown threat (shot in the dark: its dinosaurs), and the text reads "If something chases you…RUN."
Bull. Shit.
One of the most memorable lines from Jurassic Park is "Don't move. He can't see us if we don't move." Yes, this turned out to be untrue, and Tyrannosaurs actually have amazing vision, but the point remains that you will never outrun a T-Rex. Ever. And frankly, a dinosaur researcher should know that. Maybe he can hop in a gyroball. If something chases you, hop in balls.
This image also reminds me that it's been a while since we got a full Jurassic World trailer. With the film's release only three months away, I assume we'll be getting a new one fairly soon.
Check out the image below. Jurassic World opens in 3D on June 12th, and also stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins, Vincent D’Onofrio, Irrfan Khan, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy, and Judy Greer.
Here’s the boilerplate:
