With Guardians of the Galaxy opening today (and tracking like it’s going to kill this weekend) it was a smart move on the part of Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow to cash in a bit on the hype and tweet out this new image from the film featuring Chris Pratt, who may be a real-deal movie star by the end of the weekend. I haven’t written about this film myself yet here on Collider so I’ll throw my hat in the ring and say that I’m very excited for it. It feels like they’re doing something new and exciting with the material and I’m stoked to see dinos wreak havoc on an open theme park with thousands of guests in attendance.
Bryce Dallas Howard, Vincent D’Onofrio, Irrfan Khan, Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy, and Judy Greer also star in the sequel. Hit the jump for the full Jurassic World image. The film opens June 12, 2015.
Pratt recently told NBC:
“People from around the world, 20,000 visitors a day, come to see the dinosaurs and see the several attractions. It’s been around long enough to where attendance starts to fall off a little bit. So they’ve decided to come up with a new attraction to bring even more people in. You’re never gonna believe it, but it doesn’t go well.”
