It looks like Justin Lin is trying to give Guillermo del Toro a run for his money in the “too many developing projects” department.  The Fast Five director is currently busy helming Fast & Furious 6 in London, but he’s now added yet another project to his growing to-do list: a sci-fi thriller called Hibernation.  Per Heat Vision, the script was penned by newcomers Geneva Robertson and Will Frank.  Plot details are being kept firmly under wraps, but the story is described as “a dynamic futuristic thriller.”  Film 360 will produce.Lin recently agreed to produce and possibly direct the sci-fi comedy Subdivision for Universal, and he’s also attached to helm the racially charged drama L.A. Riots and an adaptation of the play Chinglish.  The director was a hot commodity coming off the commercially and critically successful Fast Five, flirting with both the Highlander and Terminator franchises, but he ultimately chose to stick with the racing franchise for his follow-up effort.  No word on what he’ll settle on for his post-Fast Six project, but he’s not exactly lacking choices.
