I never thought it was going to happen. I never thought anyone was going to make a great “Star Trek” movie again. But somehow director J.J. Abrams pulled off a miracle and made a “Star Trek” movie that fans of the original series will love, and people that never have heard of “Star Trek” will also enjoy.

As a fan of “Trek”, all I can say is thank you.

Thank you for making me believe in the magic of “Star Trek” again. And thank you for taking a franchise that was covered in dust and dirt and making it shine.

While some will take aim at this movie just to attack it, don’t listen to them.

This is a fantastic summer movie and one that’s filled with an optimism that’s been missing from everyone’s lives. Recently, with all the negative news on every channel, this is the kind of movie that you can leave your cares at the door and just have two hours of fun. It’s also the kind of film families can enjoy together.

I haven’t been this jazzed up for a summer movie in a long time. As I have said many times on the site, GO SEE THIS MOVIE. You will not be disappointed.

And now, let’s get to the reason you’re here.

As you all know, Collider is partnered with the website Omelete out of Brazil. At last weekend’s press junket for “Star Trek”, both Collider and Omelete got TV spots with the cast. But each site got different people. Thankfully, due to our partnership, I was able to interview everyone and we’re posting all the interviews on both sites! So a big thanks to Omelete for getting us this interview with Karl Urban and Zoe Saldana.

As most of you already know, Karl Urban plays medical officer Leonard ‘Bones’ McCoy and Zoe Saldana plays communications officer Uhura. While both of them were great, Karl Urban definitely steals a few scenes as Bones. Fans of the original series are going to love his portrayal.

Anyway, during my time we talked about how great it was to finally be able to talk about the movie, how did they prepare for the roles, and I was able to ask them both a question that Simon Pegg gave me. If you saw my interview with Eric Bana…same kind of thing.

Finally, I've also posted 6 clips from "Star Trek", so click here if you'd like to watch them. Also, here’s my video interview with Captain Nero (Eric Bana), here’s my interview with Captain Pike (Bruce Greenwood), here’s my interview with Scotty (Simon Pegg), and here’s director J.J. Abrams. Look for more soon. And I’ve joined the ever growing world of Twitter.

“Star Trek” warps into our galaxy this Thursday night so go see it!
