Kate Beckinsale and Rod Lurie Exclusive Video Interviews – NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH

Opening this week, in very limited release, is writer/director Rod Lurie’s (“The Contender,” “Resurrecting the Champ”) new film “Nothing But the Truth.”

The movie was inspired by today’s politically charged climate and it features Kate Beckinsale as Washington, DC political journalist Rachel Armstrong, who writes an explosive story about a government scandal in which she reveals the name of a covert CIA agent (Vera Farmiga). When a special government prosecutor (Matt Dillon) demands she divulge her source, she refuses and finds herself behind bars, struggling to defend the principles she has based her career upon.

While I had a minor problem with one aspect of the movie (I can’t say what it is as it’s a big spoiler), overall I really liked the film and think it says a lot about our 24/7 news cycle and the way important stories get lost after they’ve been used up. Also, the film doesn’t have black and white characters; everyone is portrayed as real and fallible…plus the performances all around are great. If you’re a fan of Rod Lurie, this is a film worth checking out.

Here’s the interviews. And if you’d like to watch some clips from “Nothing But the Truth”, click here.
