Opening today is Katy Perry: Part of Me 3D. Like last year’s Justin Bieber movie, Never Say Never, Katy Perry‘s film is equal parts concert footage and documentary. Now here’s the shocking part: it’s actually quite good. While directors Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz could have just focused on her stage persona and the positives, the film shows how hard Perry tried to keep her relationship with Russell Brand alive and it doesn’t shy away from some of the more difficult moments. Of course the film doesn’t show everything, but it offers enough to make you feel like you’re really behind the curtain.
Last week I got to speak with Perry for our partners at Omelete. We talked about what it was like was when she first saw the movie, if there was anything she wanted removed, favorite movies, video games, the pressure to repeat the success of her last CD which had five number one singles, and who she’d like to collaborate with on her next album. Hit the jump to watch.
Katy Perry
- What are some of her favorite movies
- What’s the last video game she’s played
- What was it like the first time she saw the movie and had she been in the editing room
- Was there anything she had cut out after watching the first cut of the film
- Does she feel any pressure to repeat the success of her last CD which had five number one singles
- Are there any producers or writers that she would like to collaborate with on her next album

My god, she’s annoying. She tries to be so quirky and weird. Just stop.
She’s insanely hot, though.
She seems like she just finished her 17th Starbucks triple espresso… or actual bath salts. Maybe stimulants are her way of dealing with movie-style press day schedules?
She can’t sing for sh*t, but take out those Christian Tits and all is forgiven.
Imagine. Russell Brand of all people got at least a few months of that. Wow.
Does this really belong on Collider?
Or maybe the better question is: do you even know your audience?
Lame.
Just a stretch but…
Katy Perry as Wonder Woman ?
The fabulous tits and sweet ass part fit for sure.
Do you hate any movie Steve ? Just asking ^^
yes. Spike Lee’s Red Hook Summer. And plenty more. But I’ll admit I try to find something positive in every movie. I’m more the glass is half full.
which is a very positive attitude. I agree
You should try to teach one of your colleagues (who shall remain nameless) to have the same attitude. He (or she) seems to want to find anything and everything bad about a movie.
I would love to give her a part of me….all over her mouth and tits!
hello!,I really like your writing so a lot! proportion we keep in touch extra about your post on AOL? I need an expert on this house to unravel my problem. Maybe that is you! Taking a look ahead to peer you.
