There’s a good chance you tuned in for the conversational circus that was last night’s first Presidential Debate of 2016 between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, especially since estimates put the total viewership around the 100 million mark. For context, that’d be a record-setting number of viewers above and beyond the 80.1 million who were glued to their lo-def tubes to see Ronald Reagan take on Jimmy Carter in 1980. Even the 2012 verbal sparring match between Mitt Romney and President Barack Obama only notched just over 67 million viewers. So while we’re still waiting for the hard numbers regarding last night’s spectacle, some folks are more concerned with the number of voters who are not only registered but will actually show up to vote November 8th.
One of those folks is Katy Perry, a staunch and outspoken supporter of Clinton. And in order to get the word out to U.S. citizens that voting is more important than tweeting your hilarious quips during the debate, Perry has decided to do whatever it takes to get your attention. That includes stripping down to her birthday suit during a visit to the polls on November 8th. She teamed up with Funny or Die to get the word out, so the least you can do is watch her video, register to vote, and then just vote.
