Warner Bros. has unveiled a slew of new Keanu images, and warning, if you're prone to bouts of cuteness overload, you may want to avert your eyes. Written by Jordan Peele and Alex Rubens, and directed by Peter Atencio (Key and Peele), the film stars Peele and Keegan-Michael Key as a pair of not-so-streetwise cousins who must impersonate ruthless killers when their precious kitten Keanu is kidnapped. From the trailers we’ve seen a film that looks both hilarious and refreshingly topical, but with a titular star as adorable as Keanu, we also know that the film will be a treat for cat-lovers.
That increases ten-fold with these new images, which give us new looks at the feline star and her many companions, with Method Man proving to be the most hilarious/adorable partner for this teeny tiny kitten. I’m also loving the film’s supporting cast, which includes Will Forte and Luis Guzman, and Perri had nothing but great things to say in her review of the film from SXSW. Keanu feels like it’ll be a nice comedy primer as the summer movie season is about to get underway.

Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, a.k.a. the hugely popular comedy duo Key & Peele, star in New Line Cinema’s action comedy “Keanu.” The two play Clarence and Rell, cousins who live in the city but are far from streetwise. When Rell’s beloved kitten, Keanu, is catnapped, the hopelessly straight-laced pair must impersonate ruthless killers in order to infiltrate a street gang and retrieve the purloined feline. But the incredibly adorable kitten becomes so coveted that the fight over his custody creates a gang war, forcing our two unwitting heroes to take the law into their own hands.
