I was worried there for a moment when Key & Peele, Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key's inspired sketch comedy series, went the way of all flesh (and TV shows) last year. On one hand, the brilliant comedians would have the chance to indulge their more sizable, daring ambitions beyond sketches that often top off at five-minute running times, but that would likely mean a large chunk of time between the end of the series and the new project. Well, these fears were dispelled quite quickly when the trailer for Keanu arrived a month or two ago, and the latest trailer serves as a good reminder of just how striking the pair's comedic voice remains. You can check out the new trailer below:

So, as you might have sussed out, the trailer does not offer much in terms of new footage but there's a bit or two more; the moment when Peele nicknames himself "Techtonic" wasn't in the first one if I remember correctly. Regardless, it's healthy to remember the sheer amount of talent that goes into this comedy beyond Peele and Key. Most obviously, there's Method Man, the most talented thespian to come out of Wu-Tang Clan, as the big heavy, Cheddar, and Jason Mitchell, who had a breakout year in 2015 thanks to his stunning performance as Eazy-E in Straight Outta Compton, as Bud, another hood. There's also Nia Long, playing Key's character's wife, and, of course, the inimitable Will Forte as Peele's character's corn-rowed neighbor.

It's also worth noting that the film is directed by Peter Atencio, the filmmaker behind the whole of the Key & Peele series. So, Keanu will also serve as a litmus test to see if Atencio has the ability to show a distinct artistry, or even admirable competence, in creating a film that feels like a unified whole rather than a series of sketches or vignettes cobbled together at a feature-length runtime. We'll find out come April 29th, when the film is released in theaters nationwide.
