A new trailer for the Keanu Reeves-fronted thriller Exposed (previously titled Daughter of God) has hit the web. The film follows Detective Scott Galban (Reeves), a man searching for the truth behind his partner's murder whose life becomes intertwined with a young Latina woman (Ana De Armas) who experiences strange visions after witnessing a miracle. Mira Sorvino also co-stars as his partner's grieving, and a bit bawdy, widow.

After working as a personal trainer on films like The Dark Knight and The Departed, Gee Malik Linton makes his directorial debut with Exposed. Linton also penned the script and produced alongside Cassian Elwes. The first international trailer for Exposed dropped last month and it was a bit baffling. The plot was pretty incoherent and mostly the character said a lot of random, but cliche things. The new trailer still amounts to a boilerplate detective thriller, but it's cut much better, with improved pacing and a better sense of the narrative. However, in a bit of a strange move, there's no trace of the bizarre and striking visions experience by De Armas' character, which is one of the most compelling elements the film has going for it. Well, it also has Keanu Reeves going for it, and that's no small matter.

Check out the new Exposed trailer below.

Exposed doesn't yet have a release date. Here's the official logline:
