First Images from KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE Starring Colin Firth, Taron Egerton, Michael Caine, and Samuel L. Jackson

     May 20, 2014

20th Century Fox has released the first images from Kingsman: The Secret Service.  The story is about a veteran secret agent (Colin Firth) who takes a teen delinquent (Taron Egerton) from the streets of London, and brings him into a British spy school that molds its students into suave 007-types.  The movie is based on the comic book by Mark Millar, but “Kingsman” is a recent addition to the film’s title.  I assume the studio added it so that people wouldn’t think this a movie about people who protect the President.  As for the images, Colin Firth looks dapper because that’s how Colin Firth rolls.

Hit the jump to check out the Kingsman: The Secret Service images, and come back later today to check out the first trailer.  The film opens October 24th and also stars Michael Caine and Samuel L. JacksonClick here for the trailer and poster.

C’mon Vaughn, how many times do you need to make James Bond!? I’m still looking forward to this but still bummed that he dropped out of DOFP to do this.

  • Armond White is my master now

Based on a comic book by Mark “Attention Whore” Millar? Pass.

    • The Flobbit

Stupid comment by Armond White is a fool now? Pass.

        Hi, Mark!

  • The Flobbit

Colin Firth does not roll. He suavely strolls.

In other news, Vaughn needs to get back to his London roots, and this looks like it could be the one.

Loved the comic, the title flip seem wrong tho… (the series was just published as The Secret Service, the Kingsman subtitle was added for the collection).

MV has a co-creator credit for it, that prolly had something to do with his decision to leave DoFP.

edit. I’ve liked most of Millers stuff, that I’ve read anyway, *totally* don’t get all the hate he receives.

i think it’s cuz he just doesn’t stop talking about things he doesn’t know about. i don’t think anyone’s complaining about him as a writer

Agree, I thought it would be called The Secret Service. Enjoyed the comic too.
