Jon Snow is breaking bad. Activision announced today that Game of Thrones actor Kit Harington is taking on the villain role in the studio’s highly anticipated video game Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, which is the latest installment in the ever-popular video game franchise that allows you to scream obscenities at complete strangers. As teased in the game’s first trailer, the story of the 14th installment in the Call of Duty series takes place in the very distant future, as the nations of Earth have united together to form the “United Nations Space Alliance” with the goal of colonizing new planets. That always goes well, but instead of battling aliens, gamers will have to square off against a hostile faction of humans that call themselves the Settlement Defense Front.

Following in the footsteps of Kevin Spacey, who played the baddie in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Harington plays the “embodiment” of the Settlement Defense Front and this certainly explains why the actor shaved his beard. So settle down, Game of Thrones fans. Baby-faced Kit Harington doesn’t mean a thing re: his role on the show, and moreover, filming for Season 7 doesn’t begin until the end of next month—plenty of time for beard-growin’.

But Harington wasn’t alone when he shot his motion-capture scenes. Activision enlisted director Guy Ritchie to direct Harington and aid in bringing his character to life, with the Sherlock Holmes director having helmed the live-action trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

"Guy Ritchie is a friend of the franchise, so it was great to have him back to work with us, assisting in bringing Kit Harington's character to life in Infinite Warfare," added Dave Stohl, studio head, Infinity Ward. "It meant a lot to us to develop the role into everything it could be. We're excited about the performance Kit delivered and can't wait to get it out to the public. We're committed to delivering a compelling story with rich character depth, and this was a special opportunity to add to our fantastic cast."

You can get a tease of Harington’s performance with a sneak peek video on the game's official Facebook page. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be released on November 4th.
