It's been seven years since director Steven Shainberg's last picture (Fur) and over a decade since Secretary, but it looks like his newest project is getting a leg up with some A-list cast additions.  Kristen Stewart (Twilight) and Elizabeth Banks (The Hunger Games) have joined The Big Shoe, Shainberg's newest erotic comedy that combines foot fashion and fetishism.  The picture already stars Jim Sturgess (Cloud Atlas) in the lead role of a gifted shoe designer pressured into mass producing his designs as knock-offs.  Hit the jump for more.

Deadline reports that Stewart and Banks will join The Big Shoe.  The family of Sturgess' character hires a psychotherapist (Banks) to work with the shoe designer.  Stewart will play Sturgess' muse, Delphi.  Although Susan Sarandon was previously mentioned as being involved with the picture, there is no mention of her in this most recent report.  Co-written by Shainberg and Mickey BirnbaumThe Big Shoe had previously attracted attention from Joaquin Phoenix and Mia Wasikowska, but finally seems to be getting on its feet with the latest cast additions.

Stewart has put The Twilight Saga behind her, but will return for another franchise in the sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman.  Banks has franchise duties of her own with The Hunger Games: Catching Fire coming out this November.  Banks is currently filming Steven Brill's Walk of Shame with James Marsden and will do voice acting for Phil Lord and Chris Miller's Lego: The Piece of Resistance along with Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell, Liam Neeson and Will Arnett.
