KUNG FU PANDA – 10 Movie Clips

     May 30, 2008

Opening on June 6th in theaters and IMAX is “Kung Fu Panda,” the new DreamWorks animated comedy about a Panda who is a kung fu fanatic.

I managed to see an almost completed version of the movie at ShoWest and thought it was great. The film has plenty of action, as well as alot of laughs.

Also, while animated movies have a tendency to cast famous people as a way to ensure interest in the film, the cast they put together for “Panda” all sounded perfect. Whoever casted the filmdid a hell of a job. In case you don’t know, the film features the voices of Jack Black, Dustin Hoffman, Jackie Chan, Ian McShane, Lucy Liu, Angelina Jolie, David Cross and Seth Rogen

Anyway, we’ve been given 10 movie clips from the film and they’re below. In the coming days I’ll be doing some interviews with the cast…so look for those very soon. Until then, here’s the synopsis and clips.

“Kung Fu Panda” features Jack Black as Po the Panda, a lowly waiter in a noodle restaurant, who is a kung fu fanatic but whose shape doesn’t exactly lend itself to kung fu fighting. In fact, Po’s defining characteristic appears to be that he is the laziest of all the animals in ancient China. That’s a problem because powerful enemies are at the gates, and all hopes have been pinned on a prophesy naming Po as the “Chosen One” to save the day. A group of martial arts masters are going to need a black belt in patience if they are going to turn this slacker panda into a kung fu fighter before it’s too late.
