Opening tomorrow in New York and Los Angeles is writer-director Lake Bell‘s comedy, In a World… Bell stars as Carol, a voiceover actress who feels marginalized both by the sexism in her profession and the success of her father (Fred Melamed), who is famous in the voiceover profession. Loaded with a great cast featuring Demetri Martin, Rob Corddry, Michaela Watkins, Ken Marino, Lucy Punch, Nick Offerman, and Eva Longoria, In a World... impressed me and I really enjoyed the behind-the-scenes look at voiceover artists. For more on the film, watch the trailer.
Last week I got to talk with Bell and Martin here in Los Angeles. They talked about what they learned about trailers/voiceovers from making the film, how they have a new respect for voiceover artists, vocal trends, and more. Hit the jump to watch.
