Disney has announced that Star Wars: The Last Jedi will hit Digital HD on March 13th and on Blu-ray on March 27th. The Last Jedi will also be the first Star Wars movie to hit 4K, and it will be the first Disney movie “available on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray disc in both Dolby Vision™ HDR and Dolby Atmos® immersive audio, delivering consumers a transformative viewing experience.” However, knowing how studios love to release box sets, I would personally hold off on the 4K version since I wouldn’t be surprised to see a 4K box set with The Force Awakens somewhere down the line.

The Last Jedi Blu-ray will have a nice set of bonus features including a feature-length documentary plus 14 deleted scenes in addition to other extras. That’s not too shabby, and I’m certainly excited to add this movie to my collection.
