If you’re a fan of Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix) and the Predator franchise, I’m about to tell you some awesome news. That’s because I’m in Austin right now, as I got to spend all day on the set of director Nimród Antal’s Predators movie – along with a number of other online journalists. While I can’t tell you anything about what I saw or thought of the movie until my embargo lifts, I’m allowed to report Laurence Fishburne has just joined the cast and he’s playing a character named Noland.
While I would really like to tell you a lot more…since Predators doesn’t get released until next July, it’s going to be awhile before you can read my set report. Saying that, here’s the synopsis that’s on IMDb:
A group of elite warriors are hunted by members of a merciless alien race known as Predators.
Predators stars Adrien Brody, Topher Grace, Danny Trejo, Alice Braga, Derek Mears, Walton Goggins, Oleg Taktarov, and Louis Ozawa Changchien. Predators is being produced by Robert Rodriguez.

Adrien Brody may be the skinniest, most feminine punk in Hollywood. Wouldn’t have been my 1st or 101st choice to lead this cast. I sense strong fail with this one, even with Robert Rodriguez.
The girl is smoking hot, but I will get up and walk out if she’s running around in a leather outfit fighting predators. Arnold, Jesse the Body, and a bunch of other hulking BAMF’s couldn’t beat 1 predator, but we’re supposed to believe skinny boy and some chick can fight multiple Predators? puhhhhleeeaz.

If you want to stepu p to bat with Fishburne and Matrix manhood, then count me in. Just as Cameron, Wakowski Bros. and others get it, it’s not in the flash, it’s in the ‘damn, not sure if I could make it’ environment. One more chance for good movie making.

Another predator sounds entertaining. The second one with danny glover was… well… entertaining in a funny way i guess, and i’m not very happy to hear that Adrien Brody is going to be a part of what i call a “guy” movie. he’s not the first person you think of when you hear the word manly. But i enjoyed the first two films. i’ll wait for the dvd on this one.

Why the hell is Adrien Brody in the cast? I thought Rob Rodriquez was going to direct? who is this nimrod character? Still not happy as to why Mr.Rodriguez is going for a movie which should be left alone. It's clear that from hurting a classic movie such as predator, that hollywood is ruining these films. Go for something original and make a film out of that rather than improving on originals. To me this seems to be a pointless exercise in the making.
