While the cast and producers tease exciting things to come for Legends of Tomorrow, including Jonah Hex and further crossover potential, let’s not stray too far away from the team’s core members. Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh), a.k.a. The Atom, features his size-shrinking skills in a new promo profile for the series, which debuts later this month.

In the past, we’ve seen videos spotlighting Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee) and Hawkman (Falk Hentschel), and Heatwave (Dominic Purcell), and now it’s the little man’s time to shine. Brandon Routh made his debut as the character on Arrow before making an appearance in Central City for The Flash, and now he joins this unlikely team to face immortal tyrant Vandal Savage (Casper Crump).

Time traveler Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) is the Nick Fury of sorts to this team, assembling them for a mission of historic proportions. Based on the new footage, Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) is understandably wary of this new figure in their midst and seems to seek out Ray for more intel. “It’s a little hard to Google,” Ray jokes.

This isn’t the first profile video released by the network. In addition to the ones noted above, similar videos have highlighted Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), Firestorm (Victor Garber and Franz Drameh), and White Canary (Caity Lotz). All that’s left is one for the man of the hour, Vandal.

Legends of Tomorrow sees these heroes and villains joining together for a mission throughout time to stop Vandal’s plans to destroy the world. Hawkman and Hawkgirl have a more personal reason for tracking him down than the rest of the group; their spotlight video explained how Vandal has killed them in every past life they’ve lived. That said, world-wide devastation is something that, of course, affects them all.

Legends of Tomorrow will premiere Thursday, January 21st. Watch all of the video profiles below:
