I’m so excited for The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part. I adore the first movie (it was my favorite film of 2014), and it looks like Phil Lord & Christopher Miller did a lot of work on the script so their influence will definitely be felt in the sequel, which sees Bricksburg reduced to an apocalyptic wasteland but Emmet (Chris Pratt) still his cheerful self until his friends are kidnapped by invaders from the Systar system. I have very high hopes for this film, but I’m confident that the filmmakers will be able to deliver on another clever, funny, and delightful film.

I’m pleased to announce we’re giving away 25 family-four packs of passes to the Atlanta screening of The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part. To enter for a chance to see the movie early and for free, send an e-mail to Collider.Passes@gmail.com with the subject line “LEGO MOVIE 2”. The screening is Saturday, February 2nd at 11:00am at AMC Sugarloaf Mills, so please don’t enter if you think you’ll be unavailable. Multiple entries from a single person will disqualify all entries from that person.

Here’s the official synopsis for The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part:

The battle to defeat them and restore harmony to the LEGO® universe will take Emmet, Lucy, Batman and their friends to faraway, unexplored worlds, including a strange galaxy where everything is a musical. It will test their courage, creativity and Master Building skills, and reveal just how special they really are.
