Earlier this year, LEGO released a 2,523 piece The Simpsons house, and they’ve now released Simpsons minifigures.  And next month, the long-running animated TV series will be going LEGO on the show’s 550th episode “Brick Like Me”.  In the episode, Homer wakes up in a LEGO Springfield, and he must figure out how he got there and how to get back to the safe confines of his 2D world.  I can’t remember the last time I tuned in to watch The Simpsons, but I’ll definitely be watching this episode.

Hit the jump to check out the LEGO Simpsons images and TV spot.  “Brick Like Me” will air on May 4th.

Is my troll clone brother misbehaving here. No? Seems he’s acting nicely here. Only a slight case of tourettes, but what can you do. Kids… Ever since this Gary Collins / ValentineNick / Chris Conely / “HORSEFLESH” (real HORSEFLESH reported him) kid copied my likeness and name, I’ve felt it my responsibility to check on the kid from time to time, so that he won’t hurt himself. I call him Lemur Boy, after a joke we have. You can call him Lemur Boy too. He probably loves that. But on second thought, maybe it’s not such a good idea to call him that to his face. He has a tendency to steal identities, when he gets annoyed. Especially if he looses an argument :-)

Shameless corporate cross promotion…is what I’d say if I didn’t love lego so much – glad to be alive in the age of lego domination!

How comes those images don’t look like the actual LEGO Simpsons toys that I’ve seen?

They Simpsons writers claim they didn’t know about The Lego Movie till halfway through the production of this episode.
