Lena Headey will take some time off from hunting Terminators to direct a new action thriller, according to an exclusive from Empire. The "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" star will make her feature film debut behind the cameras on the upcoming British project "Kill Drug".

The film tells the tale of an underground band of vigilantes determined to wipe out society's "ingrates, nincompoops and scallywags." Headey herself will star in "Kill Drug" as Sally, the daughter of a woman who offs her abusive husband in the 1970s and goes on to found her crew of scallywag-hunters in present day London. When Sally is recruited into the group she discovers that the business of killing assholes may not be as noble as it would seem on paper.

And for those of you who are wondering how Headey will fit a low-budget British film into her remaining contractual commitments in LA on Fox's "The Sarah Connor Chronicles", fear not! "Kill Drug", which co-stars the excellent Charlotte Rampling and Jason Flemyng, will not begin shooting until January of next year. That feels like plenty of time for Sarah Connor to save us from the machines…
