Opening this weekend is director Jaume Collet-Serra’s (Orphan) Unknown and it stars Liam Neeson, January Jones, Diane Kruger, Bruno Ganz, Aidan Quinn and Frank Langella. The film is about a man who awakens from a coma (Neeson) only to discover that someone has taken on his identity and that no one believes him. With the help of a young woman (Kruger), he sets out to prove who he is. You can watch some clips here.
While I only got to cover the press conference for Unknown, our partners at Omelete landed TV interviews, so hit the jump to watch their interview with Liam Neeson. He talks about visiting Brazil, how does Unknown compare to Taken, his feelings on being an action star, The Grey with Joe Carnahan, and more.

Fantastic actor. Let me also point out it’s good to see Liam Neeson smiling for once. In most of his recent interviews he seemed depressed but who can blame him?
The best way to ingratiate yourself to an actor, especially a leading man: ask him what its like to be old.
And not only ask him what it’s like to be old but start grilling him about Brits in leading roles in Hollywood. He’s IRISH. I love how composed he was on that one though. Mentioning Gabriel Byrne as a way of hinting ‘We’re not all British”.
Well….I mean, what did you expect him to say?
“How does it feel to still be black under the fame, bro?”
How about, “So, when you were human, did you have to pee on your break, or go when you wanted to?”
I despair at the pith in our observatory brilliance – or rather, its lack therein. No pun intended.
