Liam Neeson Kicks More Ass in First Images from TAKEN 2

Liam Neeson’s career path is an interesting one.  He first broke out with dramatic roles in films like The Mission, Les Miserables, and Schindler’s List, but now approaching the age of 60, Neeson has become the go-to actor when you need a badass lead.  He’ll be seen taking names and such later this year in director Olivier Megaton‘s (Colombiana) sequel Taken 2, and the first images from the film have landed online along with a few quotes from the actor himself.  Naturally the images show Neeson as a guy you do not want to mess with, especially if you want to keep your neck from being snapped in half.

We already know that Taken 2 finds Neeson enjoying a nice vacation in Istanbul with his wife (Famke Janssen) and daughter (Maggie Grace), only to be abducted by the family members of those he so quickly dispatched in Taken. Speaking with EW, Nesson elaborated a bit more on the plot:

“The action is supposed to take place about a year or a year and a half after the first story. It’s a very clever sequel with the usual thrills and spills, but the ante is upped quite a bit in this one… They kidnap him to humiliate him, torture him, and ultimately bring him back to the village in Albania where the boys from the original film came from. With the help of my daughter… she wants to help me escape from where these bad guys have me”
