The first poster for Steven Spielberg‘s Lincoln has gone online. It’s a simple poster, but I like it. It does a good job of conveying that Daniel Day-Lewis has done what he always does: disappear into a role. If we needed him to pose for a new $5 bill, he could do it. Hopefully, this poster signals that we’re about to get a trailer for the film.
Hit the jump to check out the poster. The film also stars Sally Field, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tommy Lee Jones, James Spader, John Hawkes, Michael Stuhlbarg, David Strathairn, Walton Goggins, David Oyelowo, Tim Blake Nelson, Bruce McGill, Jackie Earle Haley, Lee Pace, and Jared Harris. Lincoln opens November 16th.

Nice poster. Can’t wait for this.
Uncanny resemblance. Great actor, should be good.
I got chills! Can’t wait for this one!
I can’t wait for this movie! The trailer needs to come out soon…
The cast for this movie is actually absurd…not a newbie or unknown actor/actress to be seen. I really hope Spielberg nails this one
Why is the name STEVEN SPIELBERG not in huge letters on top. He is one of the premier directors in the industry and his name is in like size 2 font.
Anywho, great poster! DDL is a boss.
