Production is underway on Steven Soderbergh’s new film, Logan Lucky. The film centers on two brothers who plan a heist during a high profile NASCAR race. Soderbergh has gotten himself an absolutely stacked cast for his return to feature filmmaking. The movie features Daniel Craig, Channing Tatum, Adam Driver, Hilary Swank, Katherine Heigl, Riley Keough, and Seth MacFarlane.

And now THR reports that Sebastian Stan has joined the cast. According to THR, “Stan will play a three-time Sprint Cup Champion NASCAR driver who is coming back into the sport after time away.”

It will be interesting to see what Stan brings to the ensemble. He’s done a solid job in the Captain America movies, but has failed to really stand out in movies like The Martian, The Bronze, and Ricki and the Flash. He’s a charming presence, but I’m left wondering if there’s more to him than good looks.

Stan recently wrapped filming on the thriller We Have Always Lived in the Castle with Taissa Farmiga and Alexandra Daddario, and he’ll be seen in the indie I’m Not Here with Maika Monroe and J.K. Simmons. Next year he’ll be filming on Avengers: Infinity War.

While we don’t know if he’s started shooting yet on Logan Lucky, some of the cast is already on hand as seen from these set photos that popped up on Twitter. Craig is mostly unrecognizable, not just from his haircut, but also with how puffy he looks. But judging from the old-fashioned prison outfits combined with the heist premise, it looks like Logan Lucky could be a lot of fun.

Check out the set photos below. There’s currently no release date yet for the film, but presumably it will be out some time next year.
