We’ve already got Captain America (Chris Evans), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and then some, but apparently there’s still room for more in Avengers: Age of Ultron because it’s just been revealed that we’ve got two additional characters in the mix as well.

Their participation does come with plot spoilers so you’ll have to hit the jump if you want to check out the details.  Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theaters on May 1, 2015 and also stars James Spader, Paul BettanyDon Cheadle and Andy Serkis.  [Last warning!  There are spoilers in this article.]

While talking to The Telegraph (via Film Divider), Idris Elba revealed that he’s playing Heimdall in Avengers: Age of Ultron.  He goes on to explain:

“And I’m doing a scene with Chris Hemsworth [who plays Thor] and Tom Hiddleston [Loki], and they’re like, [whispers] – ‘Aren’t you [meant to be] in Ibiza?’”

Apparently the guy went straight from playing Heimdall to attending parties in Ibiza, so, according to The Telegraph, “His head is all over the place.”

But regardless, the information is right there; Heimdall shares a scene with Thor and Loki.  Considering the recently revealed Phase 3 lineup and the information Kevin Feige announced at that big Marvel event last week, this all makes a lot of sense.  Feige noted that Thor: Ragnarok picks up right after Avengers: Age of Ultron.  Perhaps Heimdall calls Thor back to Asgard at some point during Age of Ultron and that sparks the need for Tony Stark to create Ragnarok?  It’s just a guess, but it could work.
