Social media is ubiquitous in this day and age, which allows us to stay connected more easily than ever before while making privacy a thing of the past. In the remake of a 2008 French film of the same name, LOL looks at how social media impacts adolescence in this coming-of-age film.  Starring Miley Cyrus and Demi Moore as a daughter and mother on separate sides of a technology gap, the crux of the story falls on Moore's character "accidentally" reading her daughter's racy journal.   LOL also stars Ashley Greene, Thomas Jane and Douglas Booth and will open in limited release on May 4th.  Hit the jump to see the images.

Check out the images below the official synopsis, which actually starts with "In a world..." Classic:

In a world connected by YouTube, iTunes and Facebook, Lola (Miley Cyrus) and her friends navigate the peer pressures of high school romance and friendship while dodging their sometimes overbearing and confused parents. When Lola’s mom, Anne (Demi Moore), “accidentally” reads her teenage daughter’s racy journal, she realizes just how wide their communication gap has grown. Through hilarious and heartfelt moments between mother and daughter, LOL is a fresh coming-of-age story for modern times.
