There were two “Die Hard in the White House” movies in 2013: Olympus Has Fallen and White House Down. Sadly, it’s the former—which is more self-serious and therefore more disturbing—that’s getting the sequel. Focus Features has now released the first London Has Fallen poster, and unsurprisingly, it highlights the destruction on a major monument. Specifically, Big Ben is being blown out in this international teaser poster, but you can see that the rest of London is burning in the background.

It will be interesting to see what others tourist destinations will be destroyed: London Bridge? Buckingham Palace? Piccadilly Circus? By the way, this isn’t me joking. This is literally from the original plot synopsis [emphasis mine]:

However, what starts out as the most protected event on Earth turns into a deadly plot to kill the world’s most powerful leaders, devastate every known landmark in the British capital, and unleash a terrifying vision of the future. Only three people have any hope of stopping it: the President of the United States, his formidable Secret Service head (Gerard Butler), and an English MI-6 agent who rightly trusts no one.

Londoners: flee to your most boring locations. It’s your only chance.

Check out the London Has Fallen poster below.   The film also stars Aaron Eckhart, Morgan Freeman, Angela Bassett, Melissa Leo, Robert Forster, Sean O’Bryan, Radha Mitchell, Jackie Earle Haley, Alon Aboutboul, Charlotte Riley, and Waleed Zuaiter.

Here's the updated synopsis, which scales back the landmark part:

The sequel to the worldwide smash hit “Olympus Has Fallen,” a non-stop, suspenseful action thriller that delivers high-octane excitement through a heightened sense of authenticity. The visceral intensity springs from a timely premise: after the British Prime Minister passes away, his funeral becomes a target of a terrorist organization to destroy some of the world’s most powerful leaders, devastate the British capital, and unleash a terrifying vision of the future. The only hope of stopping it rests on the shoulders of the President of the United States (Aaron Eckhart) and his formidable Secret Service head (Gerard Butler), and an English MI-6 agent (Charlotte Riley) who rightly trusts no one. Morgan Freeman also stars as the Vice President of the United States.
