This year, we’ve run plenty of pass giveaways for our Atlanta readers, and you guys have always shown up in full force.  For some of these movies, I received hundreds of entries, and it was always a bummer I could only pick a handful.  But we’re going to continue doing these, and we’ll be finishing out 2013 with a screening of Lone SurvivorI had mixed feelings on the movie, but I saw it with an audience, and they applauded at the end.  There was even a woman behind me who was crying.  Whatever qualms I had with the film, it’s never cynical and it hits hard.

I’m pleased to announce we’re giving away 20 admit-two passes for the Atlanta screening of Lone Survivor.  Hit the jump to find out how you can see the movie early and for free.  The film stars Mark Wahlberg, Ben Foster, Eric Bana, Emile Hirsch, and Taylor KitschLone Survivor opens in theaters nationwide on January 10th.

To enter for a chance to get you and a guest into the movie, send an e-mail to Collider.Passes@gmail.com with the subject line “LONE SURVIVOR”. The screening is on Tuesday, January 7th at Regal Atlantic Station @ 7:00PM, so don’t enter if you think you’ll be unavailable. Please note that a pass is not a ticket. To guarantee a seat, please arrive at the theater early since seating is first come, first serve.

In case you haven’t seen it, here’s the trailer:

Here’s the official synopsis for Lone Survivor:

Based on The New York Times bestselling true story of heroism, courage and survival, Lone Survivor tells the incredible tale of four Navy SEALs on a covert mission to neutralize a high-level al-Qaeda operative who are ambushed by the enemy in the mountains of Afghanistan. Faced with an impossible moral decision, the small band is isolated from help and surrounded by a much larger force of Taliban ready for war. As they confront unthinkable odds together, the four men find reserves of strength and resilience as they stay in the fight to the finish. Mark Wahlberg stars as Marcus Luttrell, the author of the first-person memoir “Lone Survivor,” whose book has become a motivational resource for its lessons on how the power of the human spirit is tested when we are pushed beyond our mental and physical limits. Starring alongside Wahlberg as the other members of the SEAL team are Taylor Kitsch, Emile Hirsch and Ben Foster. In theaters nationwide on Friday, January 10th .
