Netflix has finally debuted the first trailer for its upcoming Luke Cage series, starring Mike Colter as the titular badass hero. The series has been kept under wraps for the most part, only betraying that the strongman will be fighting crime on the streets of Harlem, and that the series has a 90s hip-hop vibe. Executive producer and screenwriter Cheo Hodari Coker even referred to it as "The Wire of Marvel television, because we really deal with a lot of different issues." Now, we're finally getting to see what that looks like.

Spoiler alert: It looks tremendous. The tone is set right from the start, as the first notes from ODB's "Shimmy Shimmy Ya" start to play after a brief scene, giving us a fantastic feel for just the kind of show Luke Cage will be. While Colter's character was a standout with his supporting turn on Jessica Jones, this series looks to get into the nitty gritty not only of who Luke Cage is, but what he means to his friends and community. This definitely feels unlike any of the other Marvel Netflix series—Coker revealed during the Comic-Con panel that each episode is named after a Gang Starr song—which is a very good thing, and now the only problem is waiting a full two months to actually see this thing.

During the Comic-Con panel, the Marvel/Netflix team also debuted a sizzle reel that's comprised of footage from all of its Netflix series thus far, serving as a bit of a tease for the team-up miniseries The DefendersThat sizzle reel has also been released online and is included below, but it sounds like the Iron Fist footage and Defenders tease that were shown to fans at SDCC will remain under wraps for the time being.

Check out both the Luke Cage trailer and the Marvel Netflix sizzle reel below. The show also features Theo Rossi (Sons of Anarchy) as the criminal Shades, Frank Whaley (Pulp Fiction) as Rafael Scarfe, Mahershala Ali (House of Cards) as Cage’s archenemy Cornell “Cottonmouth” Stokes, Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple, and Sonia Braga (Angel Eyes) as Claire’s mom, Soledad. The series will drop on Netflix September 30th.

Here's the official synopsis for Luke Cage:

After a sabotaged experiment leaves him with super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) becomes a fugitive trying to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City.
