With the July 25th premiere just over a month away, AMC has unveiled the first poster for the fourth season of their flagship drama Mad Men.  Creator Matthew Weiner say the new season is about “stripping away the things these people think define them.  Once they’re taken away, they just may have to look at who they really are.”  Check out the full poster, which does its best to speak to such contemplative themes, after the break.

I don’t think it’s quite as striking as season three’s premiere poster (below), but very pretty nonetheless.  Definitely whets my appetite for season four, and I can’t wait to see the adventures of Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce.  July 25th can’t come soon enough.

I think it says a lot without doing much at all. Anyone that follows the show knows exactly what this is all about. Can't wait for my favorite show on TV to start up again.

I agree. I like the poster, it speaks volumes of where things may be going. Everything's stripped away, but white, modern, and new. Very provocative poster. Now if they can only fire January Jones…
