Warner Bros. has released a new Magic Mike XXL trailer for the upcoming sequel. Gregory Jacobs takes over the director’s chair from Steven Soderbergh this time around, as Channing Tatum’s titular character and his buddies hit the road for one last blow-out performance in Myrtle Beach.

While it appears like the sequel may have done away with the American Dream subtext of the original, the movie also looks like it's plenty of fun, and the trailer does a good job of pumping up the hype.  Blockbusters may provide plenty of explosions, but that doesn't mean Magic Mike XXL won't be explosive.  The cast is clearly having a blast, and I hope that carries over into the full film.
