Warner Bros. has released a slew of images from director Guy Ritchie’s upcoming spy actioner The Man from U.N.C.L.E., and one thing is abundantly clear: this is an impossibly good-looking cast. Based on the 1960s TV series of the same name, the film is set during the height of the Cold War and stars Armie Hammer and Henry Cavill as a KGB agent and CIA agent, respectively, who are forced to team up in a joint mission to stop a mysterious criminal organization from proliferating nuclear weapons and technology. Ex Machina breakout Alicia Vikander plays a common ally for Hammer and Cavill, and in a nice change of pace, the movie’s villain is a woman, played by Elizabeth Debicki (The Great Gatsby).
These new images highlight some of the gorgeous production and costume design that will be on display in the film, as well as the interplay between the three principal cast members. Ritchie has proven he can do playful action adeptly with his two Sherlock Holmes films, and the 60s aesthetic provides a colorful world in which to fool around this time.
