  • WhereDidYouTrain? ON A FARM?!

Nolan can really take a lesson from Snyder on how to make a great Blu-ray release, and Snyder can really take a lesson from Nolan on how to be a better filmmaker.

    • Nate B.

and David Goyer can take a lesson from my 4-year old nephew on how to be a better writer.

      • Blank Check

He’s good at story structure, just not doing an entire screenplay himself.

      • Manny

Your 4-year old nephew is a terrible writer, what are you talking about? He sucks!

      • Nate B.

He does suck, he’s terrible but somehow he’s still slightly better than Goyer, uses the same brand of crayons as Goyer as well.

      • Faptain America

He can probably write a better line than “You’re a monster Zod, and I’m going to stop you.”
I did really like the movie overall though, please don’t hurt me internet.

      • Manny

Your 4-year old nephew is a terrible writer, what are you talking about? He sucks!

      • Alex Hajna

Right, because The Dark Knight had a terrible script.

      • jocab_w

It doesn’t because the Nolan bros wrote the screenplay for that one. Goyer only has a story credit on the last two Nolan Batman films.

The man, for the most part, hasn’t written good scripts when he doesn’t have a co-writer to bounce ideas off of.

      • A fan

What exactly did Goyer do wrong?

    • osarumen erhunmwunsee

why do people hate man of steel so much? the movie was good.

      • Kevin

Didn’t hate it, but I was definitely disappointed. It was like they tried to cram an origin story AND a high-stakes sequel into one movie: there wasn’t enough time to develop the characters, and alot of the big moments felt rush or undeserved. Not since Thor have two complete strangers fallen in love so quickly, and the ending has such an abrupt change of tone it’s almost like they forgot about all of the death and destruction that occurred just a minute beforehand.

Like last year’s Spiderman movie, I didn’t think it was bad, but unless I come across it while channel surfing I’m not going to be actively seeking it out for another viewing.

      • osarumen erhunmwunsee

nobody is perfect in making movies ya know. i like the everything about the movie in my opinion. people say superman doesn’t kill. superman has killed before in comic book. in the new 52 superman has killed a kryptonian dragon that was already dying on his own and some of darkseid soldiers. he killed a powerful lady who was trying to kill millions, superman had to kill her cos he had no choice, just as zod was trying to kill some innocent people with is heat vision n the

I’m psyched about four hours of extras…but where was that in the press release?

    • bluetuned

Where it says “Blu-ray Combo Packs include nearly 4 hours of special features”

  • God’s Diamond

I hope I can put the $ I reserved with walmart for the lenticular they gave me towards the limited edition, though I kinda doubt it.

  • Nate B.

Hopefully in those 4 hours of extras there’s a better film included haha

    • Manny

Haha not funny or original, think of better jokes, that one is old and lame, like you.

      • Nate B.

a lame movie like Meh of Steel deserves lame jokes.

      • Manny

Meh of Steel, wow that was clever, I was wrong about you, please more jokes, you are the funniest troll on the internet.

      • Nate B.

        thank you Minny :)

      • Manny

        Are you 12?

      • Drago9000

Hahah – he called you Minny.

This lil’ Comment Thread has more legitimate believable conflict & more at stake than P.O.S. I mean – M.O.S. =/ You want a legit generation war? This threads got it! =D M.O.S. , not so much.

  • Steve

Unfortunately, every version of the movie comes with an unremovable commentary feature where Jor-El pops up at unexpected times to give a history lesson on whatever is currently on the screen.

    • Yurine

They couldn’t give Morgan Freeman enough money or freckles to do it.

    • Yurine

They couldn’t give Morgan Freeman enough money or freckles to do it.

      • Drago9000

Dude charges like $5 a freckle. May not seem like much but when you do the math on his FACE , Snyder wisely invested that in green screening a washed up Aussie actor instead.

Because – Snyder is the Visionary Director who brought us 300. >=]

    • Manny

That joke is even worse than the loser who commented before you was doing.

      • Steve

        You laughed, I know it.

      • Manny

You know it, I still can laugh at bad jokes.

      • Nate B.

still not as bad as the movie though haha

      • Pk

I would have been psyched about the sequel if Snyder didn’t come back to direct it. Seriously couldnt Nolan hire a better director?

      • Nate B.

and a better screenwriter too, Goyer seems ok at building a story structure but when it comes to the everything within like dialogue, he’s just hopeless. Remember in TDKR when the woman told Blake that he should use his full name, Robin. What the hell was that? Robin is neither a full name nor is it actually any Robin’s name. The guy should be writing for Saturday morning cartoons, at least the 6-year-olds wouldn’t be able to tell how shitty he is.

    • Manny

That joke is even worse than the loser who commented before you was doing.

Yay another Nolan bashing Marvel fanboy who thinks they can’t do wrong! You’re so original and unique! Here’s a cookie and a pat on the head.

    • Nate B.

Make mine anything but Goyer/Snyder/Nolan, this movie was worse than TDKR, which is quite a feat when you think of it considering how disappointing that one was.

      • Manny

There is nothing worse in the world than people with bad taste, people with poor taste are the scum of the world, the worst pieces of crap on the internet, they don’t deserve to live. You are worst than a rapist.

      • Nate B.

Have a lot of experience with rapists do ya Minny? By the way, it should be ‘worse than a rapist’ no ‘worst’, if you’re gonna use the English language, at least use it properly, I’m tell you this for your own good Miss Minny :)

      • XImmortalMusicX

Here, let me correct your horrible sentence structure.

You have a lot of experience with rapists, don’t you Manny? By the way, it should be ‘worse than a rapist’, not ‘worst’. If you’re going to use the English language, at least use it properly. I am telling you this for your own good miss Manny.

If you’re going to correct someone’s spelling errors, at least learn how to type a proper sentence and use proper punctuation, you hypocrite.

      • Nate B.

You can’t read OR write, its sad really. I blame the American education system, it’s not your fault really, just the teacher shortage. Keep enjoying your wrestling though, one day you might be a famous scientist also, dare to dream little lady :)

      • XImmortalMusicX

I can read and write just fine. The only thing you can blame my teachers for is knowing what they were doing. You say I can’t read or write? I clearly read all of your childish responses. I clearly responded back with proper sentence structure and english. You have once again failed at trying to come off as an intelligent individual. You take movies too seriously. Yet another source of your retardation.

      • Manny

Thanks for the spelling lesson, English is not my first language, so I can make mistakes sometimes, what is your excuse when you say stupid things?

      • Nate B.

You’re welcome for the spelling lesson, next lesson is film appreciation, you could use that too.

      • Manny

My film appreciation is fine, I am not a pretentious 12 year old boy who should go to sleep already because is getting late :)

      • Nate B.

If anyone knows anything about 12-year-old boys, it’s probably you Minny.

      • XImmortalMusicX

You’re just a bigot. No reason exist to take scum like you seriously.

      • Drago9000

Y’know after reading this thread I realized. It’s not the neck-breaking Superman I have a problem with. It’s the fact that he cried after doing it.

        *Ba-dum ching*

        TRUTH

      • webknight18

The Blu-ray has a special scene of your mom getting fuc@*d by a dog. That’s the only way she could have given birth to an whining bit#*h like you.

If you didn’t like the movie, don’t buy the blu-ray. Stop trolling.

      • Nate B.

Pretty sure that was your mom, I’d know because I was doing the filming, you’ll be happy to hear she was very professional, took it like a trooper :) btw, what’s a bly-ray?

      • webknight18

You were filming your own mom and didn’t recognize her? I thought you were just an a@@hole, but looks like you are an retard#d fucke#d up a@@hole. But then what else can you expect from an half-breed scumbag that trolls the internet.

      • Nate B.

haha its always a pleasure to get under the skin of nerds like you, have yourself a great day and say hi to your mother for me :)

      • webknight18

Nerd? How did you come to that conclusion? Is that supposed to be an insult? Listen a@@hole i can tear u apart limb from limb anytime. If i was an half-breed perverted scum like you i would probably kill myself, but shameless filth like you continue to live on. If you had a life you would not spend time trolling about a movie that you do not like. But obviously you have nothing else to do.

Why don’t you do everyone a favor and kill yourself? The world does not need worthless filth like you. Or aren’t you even capable of doing that?

      • Nate B.

Like I said, its been a pleasure getting under your skin, meat. Pretty sure the only thing you’d be capable of tearing apart are the calluses on your palm when you watch your mom sunbathing :) Have a good day little fella hahaha

      • webknight18

Ha Ha. Nice chatting with you, pathetic loser. Now do as i suggested and kill yourself. What’s the point of living such a pathetic useless life?

Enjoy filming your Mom fuck#ng dogs and the neighbors. That should at least keep you busy enough to stop trolling. I wonder what’s worse, watching your Mom fucki#ng dogs or realizing that you are as useless as your dad? You must probably be wondering who your real dad is, after all how can a pathetic loser like you even be human?

I’m having a great day, because i like nothing better than putting filth like you in their place.

      • Nate B.

Well when achieve that, be sure to let me know. Please remember to say hey to your mom for me though, I’m counting on you, kinda like the way your mom can’t count on your father, which is why she calls me so often I guess? Take care little fella :)

      • webknight18

What still alive? Seem like i was right, you ARE absolutely useless. See, you made the same mistake again. You fuc# your mom and try to convince yourself that it is someone else. It would be hard for anyone else to live such a pathetic useless life, but you have managed to succeed where ordinary humans would fail.

        Take care a@@hole.

      • Nate B.

I think it’s your mom that should be taking care of her a@@hole, that thing smells worse than Goyer’s latest screenplay. Have you said hey to her for me yet, nerd?

      • webknight18

Again same mistake. Stop sniffing your moms a@@hole pervert. So, sad that you have gone senile in your old age.Where’s Dr Kevorkian when you need him?

Go home and tell your Mom Hi yourself. Maybe she will be good enough to perform a mercy killing and help rid the world of your worthless existence. I heard Goyer wrote the script while fuck#ng your mom, maybe that’s why you hate it so much.

      • Nate B.

I assume then that Goyer must have been fucking everybody’s mother while writing that script since pretty much everybody hates it, puny little nerds such as yourself excluded of course. Must say though, I think your material’s getting old, you might want to hire Goyer to write some new jokes for you. Judging by Meh of Steel and Dark Knight Rises, comedy seems to be his real talent.

      • webknight18

Really? So, you are actually agreeing that Goyer fucked your mother? LOL. If everyone hated MOS, why does it have a 76% audience rating on RT? Just because you did not like something does not mean the movie is bad or that everyone else is a nerd.

My materials getting old? And u want Goyer to write it? I thought u hated his material. Am i getting under skin troll? Why don’t you write and direct a movie yourself if u think u r so much better than Goyer and Snyder? Is it because that requires actual hard work, as opposed to making stupid comments on the internet?

      • Nate B.

Actually the RT meter (the one that counts) is at a very poor 56% but nice try there :) Pretty sure the only thing you’re getting under today is your mother’s sheets. And yes, you are a nerd, you have to be, only a nerd would get so worked up defending a lame live action cartoon like this. Must say it’s been good having fun with you today, you’re such an easy target :)

      • webknight18

I was talking about the audience rating. Can’t u read?

I have no interest in getting under your mom’s sheets. Who knows what she got after fuck#ng that dog. I’m not worked up about the movie at all. I don’t even care if u think MOS is the worst movie ever made. What i do not like is trolls like you posting nonsense just to irritate others. I still don’t understand why u think calling someone a nerd is an insult. Better than being an retarded pathetic loser like you.

I had plenty of fun too. Hope u take my advice and kill yourself. Don’t give up if you fail once, keep trying.

      • Nate B.

So much name calling and repetitive “insults” from you and all it does is shows your frustration and low intellect being unable to come up with anything original or witty. Hey wait a minute, are you David Goyer?! It all makes sense now HA! As for killing myself, I wouldn’t want to take away the one thing your mother has to look forward to in her sad little life, somebody’s gotta push that poop in nice and tight for her since your daddy wasn’t man enough for the job, or any job as she told me over and over and over again. Man, that bitch just won’t shut up most of the time, which I why I like to keep her mouth full for the most part.

Also, don’t be too excited about a 76% RT audience rating on Meh of Steel, Twilight did just about the same number with 74% which proves that the general public are basically morons and pretty much like whatever you throw at them, you sound like a prime example. It’s been fun making you angray today, nerd. Keep up the good work of being an easy mark :)

    • Manny

Man Marvel troll are so insecure, you guys have been winning the box office battle of Marvel vs DC since 2009 and yet you still are so afraid of DC making good movies. Why? Don’t like the competition, I notice that you morons are like that with every comic book movie that is not Marvel/Disney, you trolls talk crap about Fox and Sonic comic book movies too, but with Nolan is different is like personal. So it could be two reasons. 1) Nolan rape a Marvel fan at some point in life or 2) You losers are still but hurt about Nolan kicking Iron Man’s ass not once but twice, the second time with an original non-superhero movie. I think is option number two.

      • Nate B.

I’m actually a DC fan, but know a shitty movie when I watch one, and Meh of Steel was a shitty comic book movie with crap writing, poor casting, and weak visuals effects. Other than that, it was just terrific :D

      • Manny

In this case I was talking to the other moron who said make mine Marvel. So you are a DC fan with bad taste in movies, awesome, there is a lot of those too.

      • Nate B.

Name your favorite movie, this should be good…. I can almost guarantee whatever it is, it was probably released in the past 5 years.

      • Manny

Pulp Fiction (1994) what is yours?

      • Nate B.

That’s actually a good choice, mine is Jaws, doesn’t get much better than that.

      • XImmortalMusicX

Man of Steel’s visual effects are ground breaking. Now it’s a proven fact that you truly are a retard. You also need glasses.

      • Nate B.

which part was groundbreaking? The explosions or the other explosions, perhaps his CGI cape? Maybe it was the Phantom Menace inspired opening sequence? Too bad most of it looked like shit, but luckily the screenplay was so bad, it actually took attention away from the shitty effects. Enjoy your wrestling, I think that’s more your speed, lots of oily dudes on steroids rubbing up against each other, from what I’ve learned about you, that seems right up your……..alley :)

      • Pk

The special effects were sub par at best. If they are making a realistic superman movie at least put some more effort in choreographing the action sequences in such a way it looks like it could happen in real life. The choppy editing and shaky cam really ruined the experience for me. Otherwise the movie was fine.

      • webknight18

It’s superhumans fighting at super speed, how much more realistic can they make it?

      • XImmortalMusicX

The smoke particle effects, the space ships, the jets, the falling skyscrapers, the tornado, the explosions, most of the fight sequence between Superman and Faora. There were a few shots of Superman fighting Nam-ek that could have been better. The destruction was groundbreaking. Superman’s first flight was amazing. Krypton was realistic as well. The fact that you thought those effects were weak proves your lack of knowledge as to what affects look real or weak.

You also keep trying to insult me with wrestling. I made it clear that I don’t watch it. I was simply defending those that do from you and your childish remarks. It’s quite sad that you can so easily go around and say the shit you say and not care that you’re being extremely immature and possibly hurting other people’s feelings. You’re the scum of the world. You’re what makes this world a difficult place live in and put up with. Grow the fuck up.

      • Nate B.

Krypton looked a cinematic from a video game, the tornado was done just as well in Twister (1995), explosions and destruction of skycrapers have been done better by hacks like Michael Bay for God’s sake, the fight between Supes and Faora was choppy and blurry and didn’t look real at all, the flying did look pretty good though but I sure wouldn’t call that groundbreaking. And what about the jets? Are you saying that they made jets look realistic? Because so did Top Gun back in 1986, fyi; these jets looked soft and fake anyway. Love the bit about smoke particle effects too, how in the world did they make smoke look real? Nice try again though, like I said before, stick to wrestling if you enjoy fake things so much, though to you, I’m guessing its as real as can be.

      • XImmortalMusicX

This is why we can’t have a relevant argument, because you keep bringing up false irrelevant things up such as wrestling. You’re a twat. Have a shitty day and possibly die in the process.

      • Nate B.

enjoy your wrestling kid haha :)

      • Drago9000

Groundbreaking wooden direction of skilled actors, such that they clearly have not found the real motivation behind the lines they’re reading but SOMEONE called *CUT* That’s a wrap! Retire to Green Screen tweaking! Groundbreaking rushed direction of a 1st draft, unrevised script. Groundbreaking lack of – for the 1st time every by this Visionary Director – sssssssllllllloooooowww mmmmmooooooooo tttttiiiiiiiooooooonnnnnnn.

DREDD had a billion times more believable script, acting, Effects, world-building, and action. Cost 1 / 100th to make. Has more loyal fans (by percentage of viewers). AND has gorgeous slow motion sequences that not only served a purpose, but didn’t waste its time on a “How Does Dredd Shave?” marketing campaign.

This … is what’s wrong with America, people. =/

    • webknight18

Then why even come and post here? Just stop watching DC movies, and stick to Marvel.

      • Django9000

I can’t WAIT for the Booster Gold movie they’re clearly setting up with M.O.S. ! The DC Universe is setting itself up right to *cough* kick marvel’s *cough* knees, I mean bee-hind !

Zack Snyder IS the Superman of Warner Bros. MUCH NEEDED box office! Tighty whiteys and ALL ! ! ! *hack. vomit. spew.* *(He stole them from supes so he could wear them privately at home. Well. Documented. FACT.)

      • Drago9000

Also – “If the entire Internet knew a movie like this existed, do you know how they’d react?”

Flame Troll it til it’s burned to the ground.

In truth, I ‘kinda liked’ man of steel. But this is Superman. You’re not supposed to say, ‘hey that was okay but now I kinda have a headache after that last scene.’

All I needed to hear from the distinguished competition was Nolan’s comments on Snyder. “It’s his film, it’s his vision (side-stepping blame for whatever advice wasn’t adhered to)”. and “I wouldn’t have had him kill Zod at the end.”

DC has … or HAD … a solid gentleman on their side, whom we could trust to pump out solid cinematic comic visions (until TDKR). Now, even Legendary doesn’t wanna have anything to do with ‘em!

That’s saying something. Booster Gold, 2016 all the way! For the Win (whimper) ~ =/

Yes, Nolan said this was Synder’s vision. What’s wrong with that? A movie is supposed to be the directors vision, not the producers.

Legendary splitting from WB does not have anything to do with MOS. Don’t start new rumors.

It had its flaws–but still more fun to watch than SUPERMAN RETURNS.

That’s so far away! The movie had flaws but admit it, the action scenes will look amazing on Bluray. Can’t wait for my copy.

Well I’m going to surprise everyone and say I’m really looking forward to the bluray. I enjoyed the h*ll out of MoS. I hope those of you who were disappointed by it have at least one CBM this year they really enjoyed. If not, there’s still a chance with Thor TDW. Maybe that’ll be the CBM that satisfies every geek senstivity.

I enjoyed the hell out of Kick-Ass 2, there’s just some kind of gleeful euphoria in all that bloody violence, just can’t get enough.

iTunes will have MOS out on Oct. 29th in HD for those who might be interested. Just a heads up on that.

    I MUST HAVE IT

This movie is like Miracle Whip, not everyone loves it but I do :)

That bluray cover with cavill posing looks cheesy as hell. Just want to put that out there

It really grinds me that they don’t license any actual comic-book talent to create covers or theatrical posters for comic-book movies. I’m sick of looking at piss-poor jobs (JOBS, not *artwork*), lens-flare added in to make it all dramatic, the studios put out.

Why is it “unfortunate” that there won’t be deleted scenes? Deleted scenes are usually the least interesting aspect of a great home video release, and most of those scenes, upon seeing them, were clearly deleted for good reason. In this instance, it would be even worse, because any deleted scenes would likely feature unfinished effects. Plus, the movie is plenty long as is.
