MAN OF STEEL Action Figure Provides First Look at Faora

by     Posted 1 year, 289 days ago

We currently live in a time when fans wary of spoilers not only have to look out for stories about a particular movie, but they also have to avoid any and all toys related to said movie.  Just last night some LEGO sets spoiled a couple of action set pieces from Iron Man 3, and today we ironically get our first look at the villainous Faora from Man of Steel by way of an action figure.  I wouldn’t categorize this Superman toy as a spoiler, but this is the first time we’ve gotten to see what director Zack Snyder’s iteration of the character (played by Antje Traue) looks like.

Hit the jump to take a look at the figure, and click here to get a look at the action figures for Superman, Jor-El, and General Zod.  Man of Steel opens in 3D on June 14th.

Here’s the official synopsis for Man of Steel:

In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Cavill) is a young twentysomething journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond anyone’s imagination. Transported to Earth years ago from Krypton, an advanced alien planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question – Why am I here? Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Costner), Clark soon discovers that having super abilities means making very difficult decisions. But when the world needs stability the most, it comes under attack. Will his abilities be used to maintain peace or ultimately used to divide and conquer? Clark must become the hero known as “Superman,” not only to shine as the world’s last beacon of hope but to protect the ones he loves.

clothing is very reminiscent of Orsa from superman2. I just wish NON would have appeared in some form to make up the original trio. Maybe as a silent robot bodyguard to zod?

i guess i wouldn’t really call this a spoiler. i mean, she’s from Krypton right? we’ve already seen Russell Crowe as Jor-El wearing something similar

Yeah… I’m looking forward to Man of Steel, but seriously, are you people really this desperate for news?

  • Michael Horne

I can’t be the only one who sniggered when they saw this, surely. She’s a very… butch supervillain. *ahem*

  • SuperEvilynne

Yes yes, we want to make it more realistic and give it an real world feel…by dressing our fucking villains like rejects from the ’80s live action He-Man movie.

Oooh boy, this thing is gonna stink…bad…real bad.

EXACTLY what i thought, looks like the Dolph masters of the universe.
Also, when designing armour , why do they cover everything but your vital organs? durrr.

Am I the only one who thinks you could double this as a figure of Tom Welling from the last Superman incarnation Smallville

  • Nomis1700

Well, they already showed her suit officially, just not with Antje in it.
