Composer Hans Zimmer’s score for Man of Steel will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of 2013’s soundtracks, and we here at Collider are happy to debut an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at one of Zimmer’s scoring sessions for the film.  While much of the Man of Steel score is appropriately bombastic and massive, Zimmer decided to go significantly smaller for the scene depicting the death of Krypton.  The composer wrote a simple violin solo for the sequence, and it makes for a rather emotional scene.  In this new featurette, we see Zimmer and solo violinist Ann Marie Calhoun talking about the music piece and its accompanying scene, and we also get a look at Calhoun performing her solo.
