Mark Ruffalo Talks THE AVENGERS, Deleted Scenes, and Reveals He Signed a 6 Picture Deal with Marvel

With The Avengers opening next weekend in North America, Marvel/Disney recently held a massive press junket in Los Angeles and I was able to interview most of the cast, director Joss Whedon, and Kevin Feige (Marvel Studios President). Every day this week I’ll be posting a new video interview from the junket. Yesterday was Tom Hiddleston (Loki), and today I’ve got Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner/The Hulk).

During the interview, Ruffalo talked about his reaction to reading The Avengers script for the first time, deleted scenes, and how funny the movie is. In addition, Ruffalo revealed he signed a six picture deal with Marvel and he’s excited to keep making movies with them after seeing The Avengers. Hit the jump to watch.

The poster doesn’t even look like him. If I don’t know who that was I never would have known.

Reading all your tweets is making me a lot more excited to see this film. Though I’ll probably wait a few weeks for the crowds to die down.

Seen it three times now (UK) and it is simply the best Superhero film yet made!
ALL the characters were well-rounded considering how many of them there are in the flick, direction was pin-perfect and the effects were awesome!
Whedon n Co have pulled it off!

Was Ruffalo about to say “I know you’re very discerning” to Steve at the end? Because no offense to Steve, he’s really not. Granted it’s the price he pays to get invited to sets, etc. but Steve’s objectivity has been gone for years. “Discerning” is not a word I’d use to describe the man.

Ruffalo OWNED as Banner, and that Hulk owned the movie!
And what a nice guy Ruffalo seems in the interview.

I remember all that hating and bitching on Ruffalo on here when he was first cast. Suck it up haters! Where are you now???? Oh yeah, busy hating on some other movie or casting news. Maybe TDHR or Spider no doubt?

  I remember that very well too. And the heat I got for defending him on Screenrant and perhaps even here.
  
  Suddenly everybody was a Norton’s diehard fan, suddenly he was the nicest guy on earth (something he DEFINITELY IS NOT), people wanting Kevin Feige’s head for firing him. There are some pricks still bitching about it on Norton’s IMDb page but they’re certainly in the minority.

Mark was awesome as Banner and as the Hulk! That scene where he is smashing Loki into the ground is HILARIOUS! So glad he is doing more movies now – Starky and Hulk … everybody!

  An even BETTER part was at the very end when Magneto showed up as a BIG SURPRISE and killed Captain America, and then Thor was so mad he spun the earth the other way and went back in time and saved him!

That doesnt look like mark ruffulo in his poster it looks like daniel jackson from stargate lol. But sriously the movie is aweomse. “puny god” lol best part!

  OMG! An SG1 fan! Or at least someone who knows Sg1. I love Daniel. Hes my favourite characer then jack and teal’c in equal second. I dont like Sam as much but I do like her alot.
  Anyways, I just finished watching Edward Norton’s ‘The Incredible Hulk’ and I LOVED it! I want there to be another, just because hes so skinny and smart and then he turns (in tony stark’s words) into a giant green rage monster. He was so tortured much of the movie. He did it really well, I havent watched the Avengers yet as I live in the country NSW area so we dont have a close movie theatre and i about to do my trials, so no time, but i am going to get it on DVD. I LOVE MARVEL! Except the part where they were mean to Norton.

I think there’s a Incredible Hulk 2 Sequel to the 2008 Film and not sure if Mark Ruffalo will be in Edward Norton role, I don’t think so, Because Ed Norton wants to play Bruce Banner and Fits the role better than Mark Ruffalo. So if I go to the movies to see a Hulk Sequel to 2008. Who do you want to see reprise the role as Bruce Banner?

  Mark Ruffalo has already signed a contract for six Marvel films one maybe a solo Hulk movie. The whole Edward Norton Hulk sequel talk was 2 or 3 years, so it aren’t happening now because you don’t hear Marvel saying there’s gonna be another Ed Norton Hulk movie.
