Hero Complex Gallery in Los Angeles is currently running a show called Young Guns of Print. It’s a show dedicated to up and coming artists who all were able to exhibit multiple prints in their own mini-theme. The show was fantastic, however there was a curious omission. A sign on the wall held a spot for a Lord of the Rings theme from artist Marko Manev, but unfortunately the art didn’t make it in time for the opening. Well the art is finished and in conjunction with the closing of the show, it is time for it to be revealed. Not just one print, but a glow-in-the-dark triptych, and it’s great. Check out the exclusive images and when/where you can get a set for yourself after the jump.
Going on sale tomorrow (10/4/13) at 9am PST on the Hero Complex Gallery website, you can pick up a set for $100. Each print measures 12”x24” and is 5 colors screenprinted by D&L. Not only that, but each print has a glow in the dark layer. There is one print for each of the three movies with the main art focusing on our heroes, while the GID layer is all about the bad guys. The size is perfect for hanging all three together and I really like the color choice for each movie. Here’s a the images and some more info.

There you have it, a really cool set of Lord of the Rings prints, that aren’t going to dominate your wall space. There has been a lot of Rings art released over the past couple of years and I think this ranks up as some of the best. Good luck on going for a set tomorrow, I will be right there with you. If you want to keep up on all the latest from Hero Complex Gallery, make sure you check out their website (http://www.herocomplexgallery.com) and twitter feed (@HeroComplexArt). Be sure to check out the image for their next show on Oct. 11, as Hero Complex Gallery celebrates AMC’s The Walking Dead!
