Last week, we told you about the latest show unfolding at NYC’s Bottleneck Gallery, I Love You Man, and just days later we’re back with more good news:  the Bottleneck crew will be dropping three more new prints this week, all of which are the work of two of Limited Paper’s favorite artists, Marko Manev and Mark “Englerto” Englert.  Take a look at Manev’s prints—and find out when all three go on sale—after the jump, folks.

Alright, people, the week has officially begun, and it looks like Bottleneck Gallery—who, by the way, have raised over $7k for charity over the course of their last eight shows-- will be the first out the door with two entries in Marko Manev’s Superhero Noir series, one featuring the God of Thunder and the other featuring the last son of Krypton.  At noon, eastern-standard time, the following pair of prints will go on sale via the Bottleneck website:

  • Last Son by Marko Manev
  • 13x19” giclee print
  • Limited Edition of 75

Now, you’re probably saying to yourself, “Seventy-five copies?  My god, man, those are going to go quick”.  First of all, talking to yourself like that is really off-putting and you should stop it immediately if you ever plan on making friends.  Secondly, yes, you’re correct:  seventy-five copies is a pretty low edition size in this day and age (in my day, there were only two copies of every print, and we could only score them via cellphone while marching uphill on an exploding volcano), but Bottleneck has news about that:

We do understand the high demand for these pieces and if you do happen to miss out on them, we have something in the works that we think you will enjoy. We won’t disappoint you, that's a promise ;-).

As always stay tuned to our Facebook and Twitter page because on Wednesday we will be revealing a new print by Mark Englert that helps says goodbye to one of our favorite TV comedies in recent memory. The piece will go on sale Thursday, May 16th at noon. (End Quote)

So, there ya have it, folks:  two new prints tomorrow morning, something awesome in store for us at some point in (what sounds like) the near future, and a brand-new Mark Englert print later in the week.  We’re guessing that it’s a print to celebrate the final episode of The Office that also airs on Thursday, but who knows?  Maybe it’s Don’t Trust The Bitch in Apartment 23.  Stay tuned for more as it becomes available.

In the meantime: if you’re an artist or gallery with artwork you’d like to see featured on Limited Paper (or if you’re just some lucky bastard who happened to overhear a bit of poster-related gossip while standing in the bushes outside Martin Ansin’s house) we wanna hear from you!  Email Limited Paper directly at LimitedPaper@gmail.com, and be sure that you’re following us on Twitter via @LimitedPaper for ongoing commentary, news updates, giveaways, and more!
