At long last (and just in time for my birthday, huzzah) Marvel’s Jessica Jones will be released on Netflix. In a stylish and dark teaser trailer (which sadly has no actual footage), the streaming giant reports that Krysten Ritter’s badass detective will get her debut November 20th (at 12:01 am., as they do). Jessica Jones is tied into 4 other Marvel universe series on Netflix, including Daredevil, and the upcoming Luke Cage and Iron Fist, with all of these then culminating in a Defenders team-up.
Jessica Jones will have 13 one-hour episodes, and will also star David Tennant as the evil villain Kilgrave, Mike Colter as heroic Luke Cage, Rachael Taylor as Trish Walker, along with Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, Erin Moriarty, Wil Traval, and more. The trailer (which you can view below) is — rightfully — visually reminiscent of Daredevil, and I truly cannot wait to see this character get her day. (And for those interested in the song in the trailer, YouTube tells me it’s “Thousand Eyes” by Of Monsters and Men).
