We recently reported that Marvel movie star Jaimie Alexander would be guest starring on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and now we have the first look at Lady Sif in action.  Alexander will star in the March 11th episode of the show titled, “Yes Men”.  In the action-packed hour, the title team will face off against “Lorelei (Elena Satine), a deadly, flame-tressed vixen from the Thor comics.”  Luckily, Lady Sif appears to help save the day.  Hit the jump for our first look at Alexander in costume and for more on her appearance on the show.

Whedon: “We always have our radar up for ways to tie our series into the Marvel films and bringing in an Asgardian really cements that connection. Lady Sif comes here on a hunting mission — sent by Odin — to find her arch-enemy Lorelei and bring her back to Asgard. It throws our agents for a loop when they find themselves in a fight right alongside this powerful woman from Thor’s world.”

Tancharoen: “Jaimie walked onto the set in full Lady Sif regalia just as she looks in the movies — from the huge, mile-high boots to the metal armor — and she towered over everyone. It was so striking and impressive, all we could do was stare. It was very cool!”

Wow, she looks like Lady Sif. I’ve never seen anything like that.

    • osarumen erhunmwunsee

i can see wonder woman in her already. lol

    • April Thompson

Of course she LOOKS like Sif, she plays her in the films

    This is classic Tammy…

Nice ‘Always Sunny’ reference. Laughed my ass off :)

As much as I like Jaimie Alexander and Sif I will still not go back to watch the complete mess that Agents of Shield is…

    • Bob

Show has gotten much better with like last 3-4 episodes. Your missing out.

      • pwnednoob

Agreed. The show has taken a while to find its footing. But It’s finally on the right track. Still not the best show on tv or anything like that… but worth checking out for sure.

      • randommale7

I think I’ll probably find it even worse since I’m watching True Detective…

      • James

Four episodes in, and I’m struggling to find a reason to continue watching True Detective. That’s a show that’s not living up to its potential. It feels like HBO is just trying to drag it out long enough for Game of Thrones to start.

      • Liderc

Not sure why people say this, it’s not any better than it was, it’s just not as terrible as everyone thinks.

It’s bad, it’s just not god awful.

The actors are unbelievably bad, the only good thing is the hot girl.

      • cb

Agreed. The last ep wasn’t THAT good. Eye Spy is still the best IMHO. Also: Which Hot girl? Because if you mean Skye, then her annoying as hell character completely negates her hotness. Simmons, on the other hand? A definite Bang. But i think they’re downplaying her looks as much as humanly possible in an attempt to make the other 2 actresses pop on screen.

was too Disney now getting to be Whedon/Marvel

SHIELD should just be the ole’ comic ¨Damage Control¨, which is what is essentially is and is capable of, at best. If you haven’t read it, Damage Control was an agency that cleaned up after Superhero brawls, & was hilarious and a welcome breath of humor, and an ideal place for third stringer guest appearances (like Sif), that were always done in a funny way. (Even Spider Man showing up would be treat him like a 2nd stringer, as rather than praising his work they reviled his carelessness.) Someone tell Jeph Loeb to try again & do D.C. instead, as SHIELD is runt so far. They could expand into it without losing their on-screen winning streak!

The series really has picked up half way through and the last two episodes were great. Can’t wait for the return and to see what Paxton, Alexander and a few other un-revealed guest stars bring to the table.

  • thebigv75

“sent by Odin” meaning Loki actually sent her….so this means that Loki wants Sif to bring Lorelei to help him fuel his sinister plans. AWESOME SAUCE!

    • Ellieinto

      OMG you’re right!! :)

    • Lovecraftlives

I was thinking that too! The question is: will she be in Thor 3 to play Thor and his friends?

    • Kim

That’s right!!!!! Bring back Loki!!! I thought the same thing, 75. I hope that’s right cause that would be so cool!!!

  • James

Atleast this will actually play like a THOR tie in episode… They should have made this a two episode Arc… You can’t bring Sif in for just one episode!!

    • cb

She was in both movies for what amounts to an episode. Don’t know why she would need MORE screen time than that. And i love the actress AND the character. She’s just not that vital to the Thor (and therefore) Marvel universe.

  • Norrtron

Lady Sif looks awesome in the Thor movie, but somehow that promotional image makes her look like an action figure and has a very cheesy quality to it.

    • Lovecraftlives

She probably won’t look like as she did in the movies, but TV tends to do that. As long as the episode is good.

    • Philip DiPace

That’s TV vs. Film lighting for ya. Everything is lit brighter.

  • Red Leader

Wait. Loki is Odin now. So Sif is working for the God of Mischief?

    • Ellieinto

She’s gonna be pretty mad when she finds that out, LOL.

      • Kim

I wonder if she knows? Or did Loki send her to get her out of the way? I wonder if she knows something is different with Odin? I hope she mentions something to Coulson. Man, I would love to be on that writing team!!

      • Ellieinto

        Me too. :)

      • Kim

Ok, this is what we are going to do: Sif talks to Coulson and explains what has happened to Loki, the queen and Thor. She also says that Odin is acting ‘strange’ and isn’t himself. Coulson and the gang go to SHEILD headquarters to help Skye and find a sort of Doll House ‘attic’. In the ‘attic’ is … Loki unconscious and hooked up to machines. Coulson is confused b/c Loki is supposed to be dead, but why and how is he in Shield Headquarters? He knows he has to save Loki who tried to kill him in order to find out what really happened.

All Coulson knows is that Thor took a Loki to Asgard where Loki died. Coulson also discovers that Fury knew about Loki and his attack on NY and allowed it so his Avengers could come out of hiding. Now he has his Avengers.

Fury downloaded Loki’s personality via Dollhouse technology for future use and gave Thor a fake Loki to go back to Asgard to spy on all the Nine Realms. Now Fury can control the universe through fake Loki instead of just Earth.(Notice how Fury never fought to keep Loki on earth instead he let Loki go?) Coulson also has to figure out how to download Loki’s personality back into Loki’s mind without killing him. Now Real Loki and Coulson have to stop Fury and not kill each other. Loki just wants Asgard. Coulson just wants to know who he really is. If they don’t stop Fury, then Fury will use the fake Loki to take over the entire universe, thus enslaving all. (Oh please don’t let Coulson be a plumber from Cincinnati whom Fury put into the Doll House and gave Coulson a new ‘agent’ personality.) You could even bring in Sif and Thor into it to help get rid of fake Loki.
What??? I’m a writer, what do you expect? :))))))

      • Ellieinto

You should do this as a fanfic, it’s a really fun idea.

    • Lovecraftlives

      Yesssss!

  • Kevin

    Mmmm…Jamie Alexander.

  • eternalozzie

This series is in desperate need of some talented writers because there is no coherent storyline at all this late in the season.

    • Ellieinto

Did you ever see the first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation? It was horrible beyond description. Still went on to improve vastly and become a mainstream hit.

    • Derp

Except for that whole Centipede/Deathlok storyline that’s been peppered in since the beginning….

    • Kim

You know, there are some of us who do like it and love the current storyline. If you don’t like it, don’t watch it.

      • eternalozzie

We just hope it will get better … It feels like there are too many people writing or one person with no vision … or wonderman
