A new trailer for DreamWorks Animation’s Megamind has gone online.  If you don’t want to be spoiled, then avoid watching this thing.  It sends you all the way to the third act of the movie.  This new trailer even manages to spoil a plot point that was shown to audiences in the trailer they showed at Comic-Con.  What’s funny is that at Comic-Con they made a point not to spoil a certain character’s arc and now they’ve ruined it completely.  I guess it was important not to spoil the plot in July, but now in September it’s totally okay.  I’m not mad, but I find it amusing how something that was supposed to be kept under wraps is now being used as the selling-point.

Hit the jump to check out the trailer.  Megamind stars the voices of Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, David Cross, Jonah Hill, and Brad Pitt.  It opens in 3D on November 5th.

Here’s the official plot synopsis for Megamind:

Megamind is the most brilliant super–villain the world has ever known…and the least successful. Over the years, he has tried to conquer Metro City in every imaginable way – Each attempt, a colossal failure thanks to the caped superhero known as “Metro Man,” until the day Megamind actually defeats him in the throes of one of his botched evil plans. Suddenly, the fate of Metro City is threatened when a new villain arrives and chaos runs rampant, leaving everyone to wonder: Can the world’s biggest “mind” actually be the one to save the day?

I’ve seen all the trailers for this movie yet I still can’t get myself to laugh at the humor

Holy crap. What the hell was that about Dreamworks? Might as well show us the end while you’re at it.

I guess they werent getting the buzz they were hoping from the first couple of trailers, i must admit while giving away too much of the movie this trailer does make me want to see the movie a little more and i had no interest of seeing it based of the first few Trailers, but hey it worked for Despicable me all the best stuff was in the trailer too. but i guess the main point is to get the people in the theatre right ?
