Leading up to its release, some people deemed Bridesmaids “The Hangover with girls.”  While audiences soon realized that Paul Feig’s film is quite different from Todd Phillips’ debauchery-fueled comedy, Bridesmaids standout Melissa McCarthy is now eyeing a crossover into The Wolfpack of sorts.  McCarthy is apparently in discussions for a small role in The Hangover Part III, combining the Bridesmaids and Hangover forces once and for all.  Though her busy schedule could possibly prevent her from signing on, the actress is ridiculously talented and her involvement with The Hangover sequel—however small—would be very much welcomed.  Hit the jump for more. Per Variety, the nature of McCarthy’s role is being kept under wraps, but I assume it’ll be somewhere between a cameo like Nick Cassavetes in The Hangover Part II and a minor supporting role like Mike Tyson in the first film.  An incredibly in-demand McCarthy is currently juggling duties on her CBS sitcom Mike & Molly with film commitments, so fitting The Hangover 3 into her schedule isn't yet a sure thing.  She’s currently filming Feig’s buddy cop comedy The Heat with Sandra Bullock, and will be seen this December in Judd Apatow’s This Is 40. She'll make her feature film co-starring debut this coming February opposite Jason Bateman in Identity Thief.Production on The Hangover Part III is now underway, and the trilogy closer is said to be a road trip movie of sorts.  Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis are all set to return alongside Justin Bartha, Ken Jeong, and Heather Graham, with John Goodman playing the film’s baddie.  The Hangover Part III is slated for May 24th, 2013.
