The first look at Jemaine Clement as Men in Black 3 baddie “Yaz” has gone online. Yaz’ plot is to kill Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) in the past (the younger K played by Josh Brolin) and Agent J (Will Smith) has to go back to 1969 to save his partner and the world. We didn’t know much about the character beyond his name and his part in the story, but the set photo shows he’s an Easy Rider fan.
Hit the jump to see the set photo and what Clement had to say about his character. The film also stars Alice Eve, Emma Thompson, and Johnny Knoxville. Men in Black 3 opens in 3D on May 25th.

Clement says tells the Herald that his character is “creepy but charming.” He added, “I am an alien with prosthetics and I look hideous. But it’s funny, there is a lot of action.” I’m sure there will be plenty of action, but here’s hoping that the sequel also brings the humor. I’m curious to see how Clement’s villain will stack up against Vincent D’Onofrio‘s skin-sack giant cockroach from the first movie.
Here’s the official synopsis for Men in Black 3:
In Men in Black 3, Agents J (Will Smith) and K (Tommy Lee Jones) are back… in time. J has seen some inexplicable things in his 15 years with the Men in Black, but nothing, not even aliens, perplexes him as much as his wry, reticent partner. But when K’s life and the fate of the planet are put at stake, Agent J will have to travel back in time to put things right. J discovers that there are secrets to the universe that K never told him — secrets that will reveal themselves as he teams up with the young Agent K (Josh Brolin) to save his partner, the agency, and the future of humankind.
