A giant batch of new images from Men in Black 3 have hit the web. Though we get our fair share of looks at stars Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones, Josh Brolin, and Jermaine Clement, the real highlight of the group is a handful of peeks at legendary makeup artist Rick Baker’s inspired alien designs. We saw a few of these in a recent batch of alien-centered pics, but this group is of much better quality. Baker took his inspiration from the sci-fi films of the 50s and 60s, so the impressive group of aliens on display in Men in Black 3 have that retro look down-pat.
Hit the jump to check out the images, but be warned that a few of them might be considered minor spoilers. The film also stars Alice Eve, Bill Hader, Michael Stuhlbarg, Nicole Scherzinger, and Emma Thompson. Men in Black 3 opens in 3D on May 25th.
Here’s the synopsis:
In Men in Black 3, Agents J (Will Smith) and K (Tommy Lee Jones) are back… in time. J has seen some inexplicable things in his 15 years with the Men in Black, but nothing, not even aliens, perplexes him as much as his wry, reticent partner. But when K’s life and the fate of the planet are put at stake, Agent J will have to travel back in time to put things right. J discovers that there are secrets to the universe that K never told him — secrets that will reveal themselves as he teams up with the young Agent K (Josh Brolin) to save his partner, the agency, and the future of humankind.

Blobfish FTW!
No Rip Torn, no MIB.
Those designs are great. That would be a ton of fun to work on and construct all those suits. I only wish I had as much faith in the film. I still can’t get over them starting to film without even having a finished script. I guess while I’m at it, I also can’t get over how bad MIBII was.
Is that Sledgehammer??
Isn’t it something that this movie is gonna be completely forgotten in between the Avengers, Dark Night Rises, and Prometheus? MIB3 should be an event movie but it feels like a straight to DVD release at this point!
I’ll be seeing it 2x at least. Love, love, love Rick Baker’s designs. I hope his alien (the brainiac goateed fellow) gets the cameo and dialog this time.
Can’t wait to see all the 60s references and such.
Prometheus is my big movie this summer, but I really enjoy the MiB series and try to catch as many of Baker’s movies theatrically as I can.
