It looks like Men in Black 3 must have sorted out its script issues (whether those issues were sorted out successfully remains to be seen) because filming has resumed on the flick and we now have our first look at Josh Brolin who plays the younger version of Tommy Lee Jones’ character, Agent K.  For those unfamiliar with the plot, the story this time around involved Agent J (Will Smith) going back to the 1960s to save K and thus prevent a universe-ending catastrophe.  If you can imagine Josh Brolin with slicked-back hair and wearing a black suit and tie, then you have a pretty good idea of what the character looks like.  If you can’t imagine that, then hit the jump and check out some set photos.

Directed by Barry Sonnenfeld, the film also stars Alice Eve, Emma Thompson, Nicole Scherzinger, Rip Torn and Johnny Knoxville.  Men in Black 3 opens in 3D on May 25, 2012.

  1. I can’t wait to hear Will Smith’s single this time! I love singing ‘Men In Black’ and ‘Black Suits Comin’ (Nod Ya Head)’ on karaoke night!

  2. Tommy Lee Jones is 64 and even though Josh Brolin is 43, he is playing Agent K when he is supposed to be over 40 years younger.

They should have cast one of the below rising young actors (and appropriate in terms of age) to play the younger Agent K:
Shia LaBeouf, Zac Efron, Anton Yelchin, Ed Westwick, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford, Emile Hirsch

Your posts make now fkucing sense. Stop being a troll. If you really are an agent, you are the sorriest excuse for an agent ever!!!

      • You do not tell me to f*** off. How about you f*** off? Last time I checked, this site was a place people can voice an opinion without someone (you!) constantly getting on their case.
Is your job on this site to piss me off? Seriously. You got a problem with me?

    • You are allowed to post your opinion. So long as it is right. Your opinions are wrong, and you are a moron. Please, Rebecca, spare us your pointless posts. You can read all the articles you want, but keep your dullness to yourself.

I am pretty sure casting wanted someone that look a bit like Tommy Lee Jones , the ones you mentioned are fine actors but trying to act like Tommy Lee Jones is hard enough but then looking nothing like him would be hard to convince an audience he was a the same man just younger.

  3. Wow. Brolin certainly DOES look like Tommy Lee Jones there! But … even though he does resemble Mr. Jones naturally … I think there’s also some very skilled and very subtle make-up going on here. Specifically, his hairline and nose seem to be ever so slightly reshaped. Great work, really. Sometimes the best effects are the ones that don’t draw any attention to themselves.

  4. So glad Will Smith has paused his kids remakes for a second to act in a film again, He is THE man! seriously, who doesn’t like Will Smith?

    • I feel that Will Smith is a decent actor I feel that there are others that surpass his acting ability to name a few Tom Hanks, Harrison Ford, Jack Nicholson, Gene Hackman.

  5. Wow!! He looks wicked!! MIB rocked, and MIIB was a waste of time, but MIIIB seems promising. I’m a sucker for time travel stuff though, so thus most of my excitement. COOL!! :D
